Senior Home Repair Assistance Program
City of Palm Springs
Monday thru Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pm; Community
Redevelopment: Home repair for seniors who are over 62
years of age, or a Handicapped or Disabled Persons any
age. Free Smoke Detector installation is made by City
Fire Fighters. An Application must be filled out for
this service. To qualify for home repair:
1) Must fill out an application.
2) Service is provided according to income.
3) Must own home in Palm Springs.

Home Repair Program
This program, through the County of Riverside, Office on
Aging, provides enhanced and minor repairs to homes
owned and occupied by low income senior citizens and
disabled persons.
To be eligible: Be a senior citizen (62 or older) or
disabled; Own and occupy the home or mobile home which
needs repair; Live in the Coachella Valley (except for
Coachella, Indian Wells, Palm Springs or Rancho Mirage);
and qualify as low income (they'll give you the details,
but if it's a household of one, maximum annual income is
$16,600; 2 is $18,950, etc).
This service includes small repair jobs including minor
plumbing problems, swamp coolers, door locks, minor roof
leaks, etc. Enhanced repairs requiring a licensed
contractor including roof repair, plumbing, heating,
cooling, etc. Includes costs up to $3000. Apply by
