American Red Cross
The American Red Cross offers education programs, health
services, blood services, and disaster relief. Serves as
the desert clearinghouse for CPR and AED training - has
30 CPR mannequins and 5 AED trainers available for free
use on request by schools, communities and organizations
throughout the desert; also offers CPR, First Aid and
AED training and responds to emergencies with food,
clothing, shelter and counseling.

Elder Abuse
Abuse or suspected abuse occurring in the home or
community must be reported to the county Adult
Protective Services Agency. Abuse occurring in licensed residential facilities for
the elderly, skilled nursing or intermediate care
facilities, board and care or at adult day health care
centers must be reported to the Ombudsman program.
If the situation is not an emergency and abuse is not
apparent, i.e., malnutrition, unsanitary living
conditions, or isolation, call the ACCESS Program at the
