Desert Community Foundation
To provide opportunity for individual donors to build a lasting legacy to strengthen the communities of the Coachella Valley now and in the future through: Development of a permanent endowment; Making grants to address emerging and ongoing community needs; and Assisting individual and organizational donors with varied philanthropic interests. Guiding Principles: Enhance and promote philanthropy; listen and respond with integrity to the wishes of our donors; Award grants that encourage projects with measurable impact; Work cooperatively with not-for-profit agencies and organizations; Be a model of stewardship; Help leverage other funds for worthwhile community projects; Stimulate public-private partnerships; Assist others in the greater Coachella Valley in grants; Act as a community leader and convener; and bring local projects worthy of broad funding to the attention of donor.

Provide resources to fulfill unmet healthcare needs of individuals in our district. Transportation, dental, education, screenings, financial aid, hospital housing for families while loved ones are in Richards Center at Desert Regional Medical Center.

Desert Samaritans For The Elderly
Provides programming and financial aid to elderly citizens, age 65 and over, of the Coachella Valley. Programs include Information Service, Referral Services, Financial Aid/Medical Assistance, Ambulatory & Wheelchair Transportation, Buddy Program and Advocacy.

United Way of the Desert
A volunteer based fund raising, informational and referral organization. Meeting the human care needs in the Coachella Valley. Dollars raised by volunteers are distributed to programs meeting the needs of the valley as seen by citizens of the community.
Non-profit human health care agencies.
Funds are distributed once a year.
