Desert
Community Foundation
To provide opportunity for individual donors to build a
lasting legacy to strengthen the communities of the
Coachella Valley now and in the future through:
Development of a permanent endowment; Making grants to
address emerging and ongoing community needs; and
Assisting individual and organizational donors with
varied philanthropic interests. Guiding Principles:
Enhance and promote philanthropy; listen and respond
with integrity to the wishes of our donors; Award grants
that encourage projects with measurable impact; Work
cooperatively with not-for-profit agencies and
organizations; Be a model of stewardship; Help leverage
other funds for worthwhile community projects; Stimulate
public-private partnerships; Assist others in the
greater Coachella Valley in grants; Act as a community
leader and convener; and bring local projects worthy of
broad funding to the attention of donor.
